The problem

Residential construction runs on group texts, paper punch lists, and the PM’s memory. When a plumber walks into a bathroom, they call the PM to ask what fixtures go where. When the tile crew finishes a shower, they text a photo that gets buried in a thread of 40 messages. When the framing inspector shows up, no one can find the rough-in photos from two weeks ago.

Every room is a work unit. Trades cycle through it — framing, plumbing, electrical, insulation, drywall, tile, paint — but the coordination layer between those trades is still held together with phone calls and memory.

What TradeCue does

TradeCue gives every room on a jobsite a permanent QR code. The QR points at whichever step is live right now. When a trade scans it, they see the structured spec — materials, instructions, checklist — and submit completion with a photo. No app to install. No training.

PMs manage everything from a dashboard: create projects, define locations, author steps, assign trades, and approve completions. The audit trail is atomic — every action is tied to a real location, a real trade, and a real timestamp.

Who we are

TradeCue is built by people who’ve watched residential projects lose weeks to coordination gaps that software should have solved ten years ago. We’re based in the US, bootstrapped, and shipping fast.
